The northbound lanes of the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway have reopened following an earlier wreck, according to Causeway officials. The Bridge General Manager said a three-vehicle wreck occurred near the drawbridge at around 10 a.m. The drawbridge was open to allow a barge to pass, he said. A northbound driver did not stop and plowed into the back of a stopped vehicle, he said. St. Tammany Fire District No. 1 spokesman Jason Kaufmann said one person had to be extricated. That person was taken to a local hospital, he said.
