New Orleans, LAJermaine Brealy was driving a motorcycle on Chef Menteur Highway when he collided with a black Lexus sedan as it was preparing to make a U-turn. Brealy had to be extricated from under the vehicle, and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Lexus was not injured.

New Orleans, LAJohn Alexander was riding in a pickup truck driven by 29-year-old Isaac Nelson, who was reportedly intoxicated and driving "recklessly above the posted speed limit." Nelson struck a parked car, causing the truck to become airborne and crash. Alexander was not able to be freed from the vehicle before he succumbed to his injuries. Nelson was arrested and booked into jail with his bond set at $100,000. His hearing is scheduled for Januray 5th.

Shreveport, LAShreveport police are investigating a crash that sent two pedestrians to the hospital Wednesday afternoon.
Just before 2 p.m. Wednesday, Shreveport police were called to the 1600 block of Kings Highway after a reported vehicle crash involving two pedestrians.
Janette Johnson, 55, had been struck and pinned beneath a vehicle traveling eastbound along the 1600 block of Kings Highway. Johnson, who was not responsive following the crash, was rushed to University Health Medical Center where she remains in critical condition.

New Orleans, LAThe northbound lanes of the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway have reopened following an earlier wreck, according to Causeway officials.
The Bridge General Manager said a three-vehicle wreck occurred near the drawbridge at around 10 a.m. The drawbridge was open to allow a barge to pass, he said. A northbound driver did not stop and plowed into the back of a stopped vehicle, he said.
St. Tammany Fire District No. 1 spokesman Jason Kaufmann said one person had to be extricated. That person was taken to a local hospital, he said.
