Six people, including three children, were seriously hurt after a major accident involving at least two vehicles in St. Paul on Wednesday, St. Paul Police say. The crash was reported near Maryland Avenue East and Johnson Parkway around 8:45 p.m. St. Paul police say 23-year-old Jim Xion was driving with one passenger. According to police, Xion collided with 44-year-old Tou Lee, who had his three children in the car. Lee and his 10-year-old son were ejected. All victims were taken to Regions Hospital and were in serious condition when they arrived Wednesday, police said.

A St. Paul woman was charged with assault Monday after a man who tried to prevent her from driving drunk was injured after jumping onto the hood of her car as she drove toward him. Felicia Remmen, 36, was charged in Ramsey County District Court with first- and second-degree assault in the incident in which Ronny Gray Jr., 25, was thrown from the moving vehicle and sustained head injuries. He was listed in fair condition at Regions Hospital on Monday after improving from critical condition. According to the complaint:

A Hopkins woman has been identified as one of two people killed after a speeding car crashed into the back of a semi on eastbound I-694 in Fridley Friday night.

The rear-end crash was reported around 8:15 p.m. on the interstate at Matterhorn Drive.

According to the state patrol, the driver of the 2007 Chrysler 300 and Patrice Hooks, 31, of Hopkins, a passenger, were both killed in the crash. Hooks was wearing a seat belt and her airbag did deploy.

A Cannon Falls man was seriously injured Friday morning when the pickup he was driving was hit by a straight truck west of Cannon Falls.

Curtis A. Rauvola, 75, was taken to Regions Hospital in St. Paul, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The patrol said he was driving west on 300th Street Way when he pulled out in front of the truck, which was being driven north on Minnesota Highway 56 by Terry L. Walker, of Lodi, Wis. The pickup was hit in the driver's door. Walker was not injured.

The accident was reported at 10:16 a.m.

A 57-year-old rural Red Wing man died Friday morning after the snowmobile he was driving collided with a pickup. Delbert Hardy was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Goodhue County Sheriff's Office. According to a release from Sheriff Scott McNurlin, Hardy was entering Goodhue County Road 3 from the lawn of his home at 25465 County Road 3 when he was struck by an eastbound pickup. Hardy was wearing a helmet. The pickup, which had a plow attached to the front, was driven by Duane Stemmann, 66, also of rural Red Wing. Stemmann wasn't injured, the release said.

Three Winona teenagers were injured in a broadside crash Thursday night on U.S. Highway 14, including a 17-year-old female who was taken to La Crosse for treatment of serious injuries.

The crash occurred just after 6 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of U.S. 14 and Orrin Street near Hy-Vee on the western edge of Winona. Aaron Walters, 26, of California, was driving southbound on U.S. 14 when his vehicle collided with a vehicle driven by 17-year-old Carissa Drackley, of Winona.

A Brooklyn Center man was injured early Tuesday morning when the vehicle he was driving east on Interstate 90 near St. Charles hit an icy patch and went into the median. The Minnesota State Patrol said Raul Caceres Calderon, 45, was taken to Mayo Clinic Hospital — Saint Marys campus in Rochester. The accident was reported at 3:45 a.m.

A 78-year-old man reportedly suffered severe symptoms from a medical condition while driving on U.S. 52 in Rochester on Monday, causing him to crash into a median wall. Duwane Kramer, of Rochester, was northbound when he "suffered a medical condition" and veered off the highway near Civic Center Drive Northwest, according to a Minnesota State Patrol report. Kramer died at the scene. The crash was reported at 5:45 p.m. Rochester firefighters and police, Olmsted County sheriff's deputies and a Gold Cross Ambulance crew responded to the crash.

A 17-year-old boy died Saturday at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale after a car crash two days earlier in central Minnesota.

Charles Mellema, 17, of Randall, Minn., was less than a half mile away from his house when police say he collided with another car just before 11 p.m. Thursday, sending his car into a ditch and toppling a power line pole.

Authorities on Friday released the identity of the person who was fatally struck by a train in St. Cloud a day earlier. Carol J. Oltz, 52, of St. Cloud, died Thursday morning after the 100-car freight train hit her on the east side of the city, police said. The incident brought a halt to the eastbound BNSF train, which was hauling crude oil, blocking motor vehicle traffic on St. Germain Street and on 7th Street SE. for a few hours in the morning. An Amtrak Empire Builder train also had to sit tight for about 1 hour and 40 minutes while investigators collected evidence at the scene.
