Three Winona girls injured in crash.
Three Winona teenagers were injured in a broadside crash Thursday night on U.S. Highway 14, including a 17-year-old female who was taken to La Crosse for treatment of serious injuries.
The crash occurred just after 6 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of U.S. 14 and Orrin Street near Hy-Vee on the western edge of Winona. Aaron Walters, 26, of California, was driving southbound on U.S. 14 when his vehicle collided with a vehicle driven by 17-year-old Carissa Drackley, of Winona.
Drackley and 17-year-old passenger Abbe Partington, of Winona, were transported via ambulance to Winona Health for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Walters was not injured.
Kaitlin Ingle, 17, of Winona, suffered serious injuries in the crash, according to the Minnesota State Patrol incident report. She was another passenger in Drackley's car. She was taken to Gunderson Lutheran Health System in La Crosse, Wis.
An updated condition of Ingle was not immediately available Friday morning.
The Winona Fire Department assisted at the scene.
