A 57-year-old rural Red Wing man died Friday morning after the snowmobile he was driving collided with a pickup.
A 57-year-old rural Red Wing man died Friday morning after the snowmobile he was driving collided with a pickup. Delbert Hardy was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Goodhue County Sheriff's Office. According to a release from Sheriff Scott McNurlin, Hardy was entering Goodhue County Road 3 from the lawn of his home at 25465 County Road 3 when he was struck by an eastbound pickup. Hardy was wearing a helmet. The pickup, which had a plow attached to the front, was driven by Duane Stemmann, 66, also of rural Red Wing. Stemmann wasn't injured, the release said. The crash was reported at about 10:30 a.m. Goodhue First Responders, Red Wing Ambulance and Life Link responded.
