At about 10:15 a.m., 80-year-old Ellis Risenhoover was driving west on Banner Road when an eastbound pickup truck driven by Travis Bentley, 49, veered into the westbound lane and collided with his vehicle head-on. The collision left Ellis dead at the scene, while his wife Imogene Risenhoover, 76, was hospitalized with serious injuries. Bentley sustained only minor injuries. The crash remains under investigation; check back for updates.

Richard Gray was driving east on State Highway 19 when he crossed the center line to make a left turn onto a private road. Another vehicle that was traveling in the opposite direction struck Gary's vehicle, injuring him. He was taken to OU Medical Center where he later died from his injuries. Police say he was wearing a seat belt.

Archie Daniels was driving his minivan southbound on Highway 75A with his wife onboard when he drifted over the centerline and hit a trailer that was being pulled by a truck, causing the minivan to crash. Daniels was pronounced dead at the scene. His wife was treated for injuries and released. The driver of the truck was not injured.

Loretta Jean Browning of Copan was struck and killed by an RV driven by her husband of 62 years, Edward E. Browning, on the University of Oklahoma’s Norman campus on Friday evening in a parking lot near Jenkins Avenue and Brooks Street.

The woman was found dead at the scene of the crash, ejected from the vehicle. She was identified as 71-year-old Betty Lee Dawson.
