Minneapolis-St. Paul, MNClarence H. Pistorius was riding a four-wheeler in eastern South Dakota at about 8 p.m. on a rural street when his tires lost traction on the shoulder of the road and rolled. The 700-pound machine pinned him underneath, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say the vehicle was speeding at the time of the accident and that Pistorius was not wearing a helmet.

Birmingham, ALFred Douglas Smith and Judith Pascoe Smith were riding on an ATV on Greene County Highway 20 when they collided with a Cadillac Escalade driven by Billy Killian, 83, and were ejected from their vehicle. They were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. No one else was hurt in the accident.

Memphis, TNA Sunday afternoon accident involving an all-terrain vehicle and an SUV killed a 93-year-old man from Ripley, Mississippi.
Leroy Derrick, a retired constable, was trying to cross Highway 4 near County Road 548 on his ATV when he drove into the path of the SUV.
The accident happened around 2:40 p.m. on Sunday.
Officials say Derrick died on the scene. The driver of the SUV was not hurt.

New Orleans, LAA Franklinton woman riding an ATV died Wednesday after she disregarded a traffic signal and was struck by a car, State Police said. The crash occurred at the intersection of Louisiana highways 450 and 16, State Police said.
Cynamon A. Warden, 21, died of injuries at Interim LSU Hospital in New Orleans.
State Police said the collision happened around 12:55 p.m. Wednesday after Warden, who was driving the Kawasaki four-wheeler on Louisiana 450, disregarded a flashing stop sign and red signal light as she crossed Louisiana 16.

Sunday, March 30, 2014A man was airlifted to the hospital Monday morning after he fell off an ATV and hit his head, according to the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Department.
It happened just before 10 a.m. Monday in a cornfield near the 12000 block of M-40 in Bloomingdale Township, northwest of Paw Paw.
