According to Kansas State Troopers, Damon Wilson of Howard was driving a pickup when he attempted to pass another vehicle shortly after 10 p.m. Tuesday on K-99. A tire ruptured, causing Wilson to lose control and the pickup to roll several times. Wilson sustained fatal injuries, while two passengers ages 17 and 18 were airlifted to Wichita for treatment. We'll update this story as more information becomes available.

A 23-year-old woman was driving on Interstate 90 when her Ford Explorer lost a tire, causing her to lose control of the vehicle. The SUV hit the median and rolled down an embankment. She was reportedly not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene. A male passenger and two children were taken to Community Medical Center with minor injuries. The accident is still under investigation.

According to police, a 1997 Ford Explorer driven by Aaron Siegel of Scotts Valley, California, was eastbound on I-40 near mile marker 248 when a tire blew, causing the vehicle to veer into the median and roll over at about 1 a.m. Two passengers, Chelsea Lawson, 29, and Natasha Siegel, 6, also of Scotts Valley, were ejected from the vehicle and killed. Neither passenger was wearing a seat belt. Aaron Siegel, who was wearing his seat belt, was airlifted to UNM Hospital with critical injuries.

Roberto Lopez Jr. 10, of Tampa, died from injuries sustained on Sunday afternoon in Lee County, Florida. During the accident, a 2004 Chevy Trailblazer lost control and overturned on I-75 near the Alico Road exit near mile marker 127. Apparently, the vehicle's tire's tread separated, causing the driver, 55-year-old Roberto Lopez, to lose control. The vehicle overturned several times, ejecting the 10-year-old. The boy was transported to Lee Memorial, where he died.
