It was approximately 3:30 p.m. when Sean Lisonbee, 22, was riding a motorcycle to the south on Harrison Boulevard, and another southbound vehicle, described as a dark green or blue minivan, struck him and dragged him for quite some distance before leaving the scene. Lisonbee was not wearing a helmet at the time and sustained severe injuries. As of Thursday, May 14, Lisonbee remains hospitalized in serious condition.

Timothy Gordon was riding a scooter on Orange Avenue Bridge when a white car struck him and then fled the scene. The force of the impact was so great that parts of the car were imbedded in the scooter. Gordon was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. Police are trying to find the driver responsible for the crash. Gordon was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.

Thomas Robert Beaulieu was driving southbound on Blanding Boulevard near Suzanne Drive at 2:5o p.m. when another vehicle turned in front of him, forcing him to take evasive action. Beaulieu was thrown from his bike and suffered brain damage, and died two weeks later. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Law enforcement officers are looking for a Nissan Pathfinder involved in a fatal Jacksonville hit-and-run early Monday that killed a scooter rider. Michael Lee Moon, 37, of Jacksonville was riding on Normandy Boulevard east of Stratton Road about 12:35 a.m. when he was hit from behind by a Nissan.

52-year-old Ernest Miller has died from injuries after a crash that happened Sunday around 1 a.m. at North Edgewood Avenue and Ina Street. Another motorcyclist, riding with two other motorcycles, was traveling northbound in the left lane and hit Miller, who was in the roadway. The second motorcycle went down, but after it stopped, the driver fled without checking on Miller, who was transported to UF medical center in critical condition, where he died. Miller was wearing a novelty helmet, which was not DOT compliant.

A teenage bicyclist was in critical condition Thanksgiving night after a hit-and-run driver struck him in Long Beach, authorities said. The crash was reported shortly before 5 p.m. near 61st Street and Linden Avenue (map), according to a spokesperson for the Long Beach Fire Department. A 15-year-old boy was riding his bike west on 61st Street when he rode through a stop sign and was struck by a light-colored sedan, possibly a Nissan Altima, traveling north on Linden Avenue, authorities said.
