A Honda Civic was speeding and lost control on a curve. It crossed the center line and struck a Mitsubishi head on. Authorities identified the passengers in the Mitsubishi as 22-year-old Nicole Powers of New Oxford and 22-year-old Austin Michael Smith if Hanover. Bethlehem police this morning released a photo of a pickup truck they say was involved in a hit-and-run crash July 19 on Stefko Boulevard. After the accident, the truck pulled into the Classic Car Wash and stopped. The driver, whose picture police also released, looked back and then sped east on Stanhope Street, police said. The investigation is continuing and police ask anyone with information to contact officer Jon Desiderio at 610-865-7187.

A pedestrian was rushed to the hospital after being struck by a hit and run driver in Northeast Philadelphia early Thursday morning. The hit and run happened at about 6:45 a.m. at the intersection of Cottman Avenue and Sackett Street in the city’s Mayfair section. According to investigators, a driver fled the scene after striking a 60-year-old pedestrian. The victim was taken to Aria Health’s Torresdale Hospital with a reported leg injury.

Philadelphia Police are investigating a hit and run accident that left a pedestrian seriously injured in North Philadelphia Tuesday. It happened at 21st Street and Susquehanna Avenue around 3:30 p.m. Police say a woman, believed to be in her late 40's, had just exited a SEPTA bus when she was struck by a white Chevy Impala at a high rate of speed. The impact sent the victim flying nearly 30 feet before she landed in the street. She was taken to Temple University Hospital with serious head injuries.

Penbrook police are searching for a suspect in a hit-and-run that occurred early Friday along Market Street Road. A vehicle hit a pedestrian around 5 a.m. and caused that person to suffer an arm injury. The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital for treatment, police said. The striking vehicle left one of its mirrors at the scene of the incident as it drove off, according to police.

Police in Upper Darby are searching for a suspect involved in a fatal hit-and-run accident Sunday evening that left a 69-year old man and his dog dead. The Upper Darby Police Superintendent says Richard Patterson was walking his pet poodle when they were both struck on Providence Road near Arbor Lea Road around 5:30pm: “Apparently he was either dragged, or thrown by the vehicle, at least 60 or 70 feet. He was dead on the scene, and the dog was also dead" said police. There are very few details available, and only one witness to the fatal accident.

An unidentified man suffered serious injuries when he was hit in Kingsessing early Wednesday morning. A suspected DUI driver smashed into a man overnight before trying to get away. The crash near 54th Street and Woodland Avenue in the Kingsessing neighborhood of Philadelphia left the victim in critical condition. According to police, a man in his 20s was behind the wheel around midnight.

A 16-year-old is in trouble with the law after Upper Allen Township police in Cumberland County say the teen fled the scene of a crash and was driving under the influence. Police responded to a hit-and-run crash around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday along the 1700 block of North Meadow Drive. "The striking vehicle fled the scene and was located by police several blocks away. The 16 year old juvenile driver admitted to having been driving at a high rate of speed, causing the vehicle to strike a curb which caused property damage and disabling damage to the vehicle," a police news release states.

What began as a birthday celebration ended in a case of apparent road rage that left one woman hospitalized and several cars damaged. A group had just wrapped up celebrating a woman’s upcoming birthday when they say a driver struck that woman near 2nd and Wyoming Streets in Philadelphia’s Feltonville neighborhood and kept driving Tracy Robinson, 31, was struck and remained hospitalized at Einstein Hospital Thursday morning.
