According to police, Christopher Riddle, 30, was likely driving under the influence and speeding on Borden Road at about 8:40pm, when his truck began to slip and drift off of the right side of the road. Investigators believe that Riddle then overcorrected to the left, departed the roadway on the other side, and collided with a tree. The wreck took the life of Riddle's passenger, identified as Casey Becht, 32, and left Riddle with serious injuries that were described as life-threatening.

A bus traveling on Kentucky 109 left the roadway on the right side, then the driver overcorrected and the bus swerved to the left, ran off the road, and hit a tree. One of the five students on the bus was injured. The injured student, a female 18-year-old, was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center complaining of leg pain.

Lisa Walton was driving west on SR 66 when her vehicle went off the right side of the road and she overcorrected, causing the vehicle to skid sideways and hit several trees. Walton was ejected during the accident and found around 50 feet from the vehicle. Authorities believe the accident took place Thursday night, but was not discovered until early in the morning Friday. Walton was taken to Owensboro Health hospital where she died from her injuries.

At 6:08 p.m. Tuesday, Pamela Foster, was headed north on Aetna Furnace Highway in her 1998 Jeep in Hart County when she crossed the centerline, overcorrected, left the road, overturned, and finally struck a tree. Both the driver and her son, Trenton Foster, were pronounced dead at the scene. Neither was wearing a seat belt. Another passenger in the Jeep, Bana Goodman of Cecilia, was wearing a seat belt and suffered minor injuries. Hart County Emergency Medical Service treated Goodman at the scene for minor injuries.

Officials in northeastern Montana have identified a 27-year-old Morehead, Kentucky, woman who died in a weekend rollover crash near Fort Peck. Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Glenn Quinnell tells The Billings Gazette that Samantha J. Conn died just after 8:30 a.m. Saturday when she was thrown from a minivan as it rolled. The patrol says Conn's sister was northbound on Secondary Highway 24 when she became distracted by deer on the side of the road.

A Louisville man was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Russell Springs, Kentucky Sunday. Kenneth Bell, 54, a passenger in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. It happened around 5 p.m. July 13 on the Louie B. Nunn Parkway near Russell Springs, Kentucky. That's where police say 55-year-old Dana Bell of Louisville was driving when her car dropped off the side of the road. She then overcorrected and lost control.
