Woman found hours after wreck in Spencer Co.; dies at hospital

The sheriff's office says it happened around 11 Thursday night on SR 66, but the wreck wasn't discovered until the early morning hours on Friday.

ISP says the driver of a Sedan was parked on the shoulder of U.S. 231 and pulled right out in front of a semi when trying to return to traffic. ISP says the semi driver tried to change lanes but was unable to avoid the crash, pushing the Sedan into the median.
Lisa Walton was driving west on SR 66 when her vehicle went off the right side of the road and she overcorrected, causing the vehicle to skid sideways and hit several trees. Walton was ejected during the accident and found around 50 feet from the vehicle. Authorities believe the accident took place Thursday night, but was not discovered until early in the morning Friday. Walton was taken to Owensboro Health hospital where she died from her injuries.
