A blind pedestrian was crossing a road at the intersection of East Mississippi Avenue and South Havana Street when he was hit by a 67-year-old woman. The woman was traveling northbound on South Havana Street and had the right of way at the time. The man was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. At the time of the accident it was raining and the pedestrian was intoxicated and not crossing in a crosswalk.

Alex Chambrella allegedly lit a fire in the basement of a house located on Edgemont lane before fleeing in a relative's car. He then crashed that car into his own car as well as a nearby parked one, and then flipped the relative's car on Coe Road after hitting a patch of ice. After leaving the crashed car he caught a ride from a passer-by to a nearby apartment complex. He then wandered around the complex banging on doors, allegedly, "looking for his next wife." When police arrived to arrest him he was wearing only pajama pants and claimed to be God.

A car driven by a 22-year-old man from Gladwin rear-ended a horse-drawn buggy containing two adults and seven children. Five people inside the buggy were transported to a local hospital for their injuries. These included both 34-year-old adults, and 3 children ages 10, 5, and 8 months. The horse was also severely injured and had to be euthanized. Foggy weather conditions and alcohol were considered main factors in this accident.

The Wickliffe Police Department responded to a reported car accident Sunday morning at the Shell gas station. Upon arrival, police found 34-year-old Benjamin Scholes at the scene of the accident. Scholes admitting to losing control of his vehicle on a patch of ice. Scholes' blood alcohol content was a .189. He was arrested and charged with OVI failure to control. He was released after posting a $3,500 bond. Police say the canopy of the gas station and gas pump received extensive damage from the crash.

A missing snowmobiler was found dead after he apparently crashed on an ice-covered lake in Walworth County over the weekend. Searchers were called to Lake Delavan around 8 a.m. Sunday to look for the 51-year-old man who had been missing about 12 hours. Investigators said the man's family found his snowmobile out on the frozen lake Sunday morning and called police.

A 22-year-old Maple Grove man died Saturday in a snowmobile crash in north-central Minnesota, authorities said. According to a statement from the Todd County Sheriff’s Office released Sunday: Authorities received a report of a missing man at 11:23 a.m. Saturday. Friends of Jared Wallenfelsz said they had last seen him driving a snowmobile away from his family’s cabin on Long Lake about 1:30 a.m. that morning.

A chain-reaction crash over a North Texas lake involving as many as 15 vehicles is expected to keep Interstate 30 over Lake Ray Hubbard closed well into Friday afternoon. Texas Department of Transportation officials said multiple vehicles were involved in the crash on the I-30 bridge over the lake, prompting the closure of both directions of the highway at Dalrock Road. Police reports indicate 23-year-old Christopher Anthony Sosa was charged with intoxication assault for his involvement in the crash.
