Police are looking for a white Toyota pickup with blue lettering on its side because they think it was the vehicle that collided with a moped and fled the scene. They have asked the public’s help after being unable to track down the truck since the accident happened Tuesday evening, sending the moped rider to a hospital with serious injuries. The truck is a mid- to late-2000s model and is probably still missing its right side mirror and radio antenna. It was last seen fleeing west on U.S. 70 from N.C. 50 after the crash at N.C. 50 and Umstead Lane, police said.
