One adult injured, after a car crashes into a school bus at an intersection near Durham, North Carolina

A Durham County public school bus was involved in an accident late Monday morning. The accident happened along NC Highway 98 at Breedlove Avenue in east Durham just before noon, right as schools were releasing early due to inclement weather. According to Chip Sudderth with Durham Public Schools, eight high school students from City of Medicine Academy were on board Bus 418 when a black car collided into the side of the bus. Images from the scene showed the car with heavy damage, but it was unclear what caused the accident. None of the students on the bus were injured. The driver of the car was taken to the hospital by ambulance in unknown condition.
