Authorities in Raleigh are investigating a serious crash that injured a woman early Friday morning.

It happened around 3:30 a.m. on Westgate Road at Lumley Road, near Glenwood Avenue and Interstate 540.

Images from the scene showed a white car that was severely damaged after colliding with a concrete pumping truck not far from the Angus Barn.

It is unclear what caused the accident. A woman driving the car was taken to the hospital after suffering minor injuries.

Part of Westgate Road was blocked while authorities worked to clear the scene, which prevented traffic from getting onto eastbound Glenwood Avenue for several hours.
