One person is dead and another is in critical condition after a crash in Fairfield County Friday. According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, at about 6:34 p.m. Friday, troopers responded to Sugar Grove Road, just south of Hickory Hill Drive, near Berne Township on the report of a two-vehicle, head-on crash. Troopers say 36-year-old Brandy R. Clary, of Westerville, was traveling northbound on Sugar Grove Road on a 2001 Honda CB600 motorcycle, when he drove left of center at a curve in the area, and struck head on a 2004 Ford Explorer, being driven by Tabitha N. Senig, of Lancaster.

The northbound lanes of U.S. 23 reopened just south of Circleville following a crash involving a pedestrian early Thursday morning.

According to the Pickaway County Sheriff's Office, a person was struck by a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt in the northbound lanes of U.S. 23 at about 4:47 a.m.

Deputies say the driver of the Chevy, Tonya A. Hill, of Jackson, called the sheriff’s office to report that she had hit something on the roadway while she was driving northbound on U.S. 23, just north of Sperry Drive.

A New Bloomington man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on a Marion County road Thursday evening.

According to the Marion post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred at 5:38 p.m. on state Route 203, north of mile post 4.

Troopers say David E. Gay, 59, was driving a pickup truck north on S.R. 203 when he drove off the right side of the road and struck a pole.

Gay was pronounced dead at the scene by Marion County Coroner Dr. Marc Comianos.

Troopers said that Gay was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

One person is dead and another in critical condition after the vehicle crossed the median and flipped.

The crash happened around 2:45 a.m. Sunday on U.S. 33 eastbound just east of I-270 in southeast Columbus.

Columbus Police shut down U.S. 33 in both directions, as well as the ramp from I-270 southbound to U.S. 33 eastbound for several hours while they investigated.

It is unclear what caused the crash.

No other vehicles were involved.

COLUMBUS, Ohio -
A pedestrian was killed Friday night after being struck by a vehicle near Gahanna.

According to Columbus police, at about 10:19 p.m. Friday, a woman was crossing =Morse Road, east of Sheffield Drive, when she was struck by a truck that was traveling eastbound.

The impact caused to the woman to be thrown to the ground where she was hit by a second vehicle that was traveling westbound on Morse Road, according to police.

Police say the truck that initially struck the woman, fled the scene following the crash.

A 61-year-old woman was killed Friday after a head-on crash at the intersection of Northridge and Sadie Thomas roads. Pamela L. Graham, of Granville, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a release from the Granville Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol.

Two people were injured in a helicopter crash in the area of Welch and Neel roads near the Union/Delaware county line Thursday afternoon. The Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the scene where a 2006 Rotorway International EXEC 162F helicopter crashed at about 12:45 p.m. Thursday. The crash triggered a fire of dried cornstalk clippings that spread across nearly three acres before being extinguished by local firefighters.

A 44-year-old woman is dead after troopers say she swerved left of center, striking a semi Wednesday afternoon.

According to a report, at about 1:30 p.m., Hope Okuly, 44, of Ottawa, was traveling eastbound on state Route 309 near the Marion County and Hardin County line when she drove left of center and crashed into a semi.

After striking the semi, Okuly’s Pontiac Grand Am overturned and landed on the driver’s side.

Okuly was pronounced dead on the scene.

The semi driver, Rodney J. Whitaker, 49, of Kenton, was not injured in the crash.

Columbus police closed both north and southbound ramps to Interstate 71 from Interstate 670 east, while officers investigated a fatal crash early Saturday morning.

According to the Columbus Police Department, at about 2:46 a.m. Saturday, 41-year-old Rebecca Pugh was driving eastbound I-670 towards I-71 when she lost control of the vehicle and struck the concrete median.

Pugh was ejected from the car and pronounced dead at the scene.
