Wayne County man dead, woman airlifted to Syracuse hospital after one-car crash.

A man died and a woman was airlifted to the hospital at the scene of a one-car crash in Wayne County early Saturday morning.
A man died and a woman was airlifted to the hospital at the scene of a one-car crash in Wayne County early Saturday morning. Charles R. Geiwitz Jr., 28, of 6354 East Port Bay Road in Wolcott, was pronounced dead at the scene by Wayne County Coroner Dr. David Hannan. A passenger, Maranda Bean, 21, of North Rose was flown to Upstate University Hospital. Geiwitz was driving a vehicle on Furnace Road in the town of Wolcott at about 4:45 a.m. The vehicle left the left side of the road, struck a utility pole and overturned. State police are investigating the cause of the collision. Mercy Flight airlifted Bean, the passenger. She had multiple fractures and was listed in serious but stable condition, police said. State troopers were assisted by the Wolcott Fire Department, Lakeshore Rescue and Fair Haven Rescue.

We still don't have any answers as to what happened and who was driving, if anyone knows anything, big or small please contact the authorities.  I just want the truth so he can rest in peace and the weight of the unknown can be lifted off our shoulders. We want to move forward for his daughters sake, so please if you know anything come forward with the information.
