1 killed in collision between Amtrak train and dump truck

A large group of LSU fans were on that train, a news station in Baton Rouge told WIAT. They said some may have gotten off the train in Tuscaloosa, but 50-57 were still on the train at the time of the collision. The fans are from Baton Rouge and Prairieville.

The truck collided with the train at about 2 p.m. in nearby Bessemer, Alabama, Amtrak spokeswoman Kimberly Woods said in a statement. None of the 124 passengers onboard reported injuries, she said.
