Lee County Coroner Bill Harris said police found two people, 42-year-old Angela Brooks and 51-year-old Ronald Edwards, seriously injured Friday night in an accident on Columbus Parkway.

The driver of the vehicle was not believed to have been injured. Brooks and Edwards were likely attempting to cross Columbus Parkway when they stepped in front of the westbound vehicle and were struck.
