Roger Peden, 30, injured, taken to hospital, after a motorcycle accident on Lauderdale 224 near Florence.

A Lauderdale County man injured in a motorcycle accident Wednesday afternoon has been released from Huntsville Hospital after receiving treatment, officials said.

Troopers said Roger Peden, 30, Florence, was injured in the accident that happened at 2:30 p.m. on Lauderdale 224, which is north of Florence, near Zip City.

Peden was riding a 2006 Kawasaki motorcycle when the accident happened.

Reports indicate he was flown to Huntsville Hospital, where troopers said this morning that they were notified he had been treated and later released.

The accident is under investigation by the Quad-Cities State Troopers Post.
