Alabama State Trooper Jamie Maloy said a 2007 Sea Hunt 220 struck the pier while entering Oyster Bay.
Maloy said the vessel's operator, 22-year-old Robert Lance Criswell of Jackson; and a passenger, 28-year-old Samuel Jacob Hawk of Thomasville, were both pronounced dead at the scene.
