Runner struck and killed by vehicle in Rogers

A woman running in Rogers was struck and killed by a vehicle early Wednesday evening, according to a news release from the Rogers Police Department. In a Facebook post, Rush Running Co. said Bikel was "beautiful, kind, caring person and an amazing member of our running community." The woman was identified as Jennifer Bikel, 40, of Rogers. He told police he checked northbound and southbound traffic before crossing the sidewalk, then began turning right out of the driveway, striking Bikel, according to the news release. Bikel was transported to Mercy Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead, according to the news release.
