Motorcyclist Killed In Crash Near San Mateo Bridge InHayward

Two people went to a hospital and the motorcyclist died there later Wednesday morning, Simmons said. A motorcyclist died Wednesday morning in a collision on westbound state Highway 92 just east of the San Mateo-Hayward Bridge toll plaza, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash blocked lanes of westbound Highway 92 in Hayward for more than an hour. All lanes reopened by shortly before 9:30 a.m., according to the CHP.

Police do not believe that alcohol or drugs were a factor in this collision. Anyone with information on this crash is encouraged to call Officer Josh La Pointe at 650-369-6261.
