76-year-old San Jose woman reported missing killed in hit-and-run accident

The victim, 76-year-old Li Ying Yan of San Jose, was found down on the roadway and pronounced dead at the scene. SAN JOSE -- Police are searching for the driver of a silver Saturn automobile that reportedly hit a missing woman and then fled the scene on early Saturday morning on Senter Road. Anyone with information about the collision can contact the San Jose Police Department traffic investigations unit at 408-277-4654 or leave an anonyous tip with Silicon Valley Crime Stoppers at 408-947-STOP (7867) or with svcrimestoppers.org. She had gone missing from her residence on Lilliput Lane around 12 noon on Friday, according to reports. Then the victim was struck a second time by the Saturn, described by witnesses as a silver four-door vehicle.
