Man who killed teen in Aurora crash to be sentenced

ARAPAHOE COUNTY '€“ A man accused of driving drunk and killing a 17-year-old will be sentenced in an Arapahoe County courtroom Wednesday. Ever Olivos-Gutierrez faces 24 to 48 years after he pleaded guilty to second-degree murder earlier in the year. In 2014, prosecutors charged Olivos-Gutierrez with first-degree murder, a rare move in a fatal DUI case. A spokesperson for the Douglas County Sheriff's Office said authorities tried to get ICE to pick up Olivos-Gutierrez in late 2007 after an arrest there. Aurora Police say he ran a red light and slammed into Juan Dominguez-Palomino.
