Pedestrian struck by car in Denver hit-and-run

Police tweeted that the crash occurred around 8:30 p.m. on East Colfax Avenue near Ulster Street. Police say a driver in white or silver Dodge Charger struck a man crossing the street and then took off north on Tamarac Street from Colfax.

Denver Police are looking for a car involved in a hit-and-run that injured a pedestrian along East Colfax Avenue Wednesday night. Police tweeted that the crash occurred around 8:30 p.m. on East Colfax Avenue near Ulster Street. Police say a driver in white or silver Dodge Charger struck a man crossing the street and then took off north on Tamarac Street from Colfax.

Police say the pedestrian, who appeared to be intoxicated, was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.

Police closed roads in the area during the investigation. Police say the Charger is missing its driver-side mirror.
