Bloomfield man killed in accident

Police say the driver who ran the red light, a 27-year-old man from Granby, was taken to St. Francis Hospital with minor injuries. They say the driver of the third vehicle was not injured.

Driver Dies After Car Runs Red Light in Bloomfield: Police

Both cars spun out of control and hit a third vehicle stopped at the intersection of Woodland and Blue Hills avenues, police said.
At about 9:25am, a 67-year-old man was driving on Woodland Avenue and was attempting to turn onto Blue Hills Avenue when a car driven by a 27-year-old man failed to stop at a red light and t-boned his vehicle, causing both cars to spin out of control and strike yet another car. The 67-year-old man and 27-year-old man were both taken to St. Francis Hospital, where the former was eventually pronounced dead and the latter was treated for minor injuries.
