A mother carrying her baby and another child walking with her were hit by a car in New Britain Tuesday morning.

A mother was walking on Stanley Street carrying a baby with her child walking next to her at 10:30 a.m. when an SUV drove onto the sidewalk and hit them. The family sustained non-life threatening injuries and were taken to a hospital. The driver of the SUV stayed at the scene and cooperated with police.
