One dead after vehicle strikes pedestrian in Stamford
Police say a vehicle was traveling on Elm Street and turned onto North State Street while a pedestrian was attempting to cross. The vehicle then struck the victim, a 59-year-old woman from Fairfield.

Fairfield resident Lynette Wagner, 59, died of her injuries at Stamford Hospital, the Advocate said. She worked at the new Henkel corporate headquarters at 200 Elm St., near where the fatal accident occurred at 7:09 a.m. Tuesday.
