Authorities say Baassiri’s car was hit by a Scion. By The Associated Press LAUREL, Del. (AP) — Delaware State Police say two men were killed and a third man was injured in a two-car crash in Laurel. The driver of the Scion was taken to a local hospital, where police say he died. Troopers say a passenger in Baassiri’s car was pronounced dead at the scene. Baassiri was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say 31-year-old Nour-Eddine H. Baassiri of Salisbury was driving northbound when the car went off the left side of the road and into the median where it slid out of control. According to police, the car then entered the southbound lanes and was struck by another car driven by 42-year-old Robert W. Truitt of Pennsylvania.
