Bicyclist seriously injured in Collier Co. crash
The driver tried to avoid the collision, according to FHP, however the front of the vehicle hit the bicycle and the cyclist was thrown from it.
Bicyclist Alejo Vasquez, 23, was injured Thursday after he was hit by a vehicle in Collier County and taken to Lee Memorial Hospital, according to law enforcement officers. A vehicle was traveling east on Lake Trafford Road when Vasquez crossed Lake Trafford Road into the vehicle's path, according to an Florida Highway Patrol report. No further details of the collision or the bicyclist's condition are available at this time.
