A 44-year-old Kissimmee man was killed Wednesday morning after his car collided with a tractor trailer in south Orange County, the Florida Highway Patrol said. Troopers said at about 6:30 a.m., the man, who was not immediately identified, was driving a 1993 Toyota Camry northbound on South Orange Avenue, just south of Town Center Boulevard near the interchange between State Road 417 and Florida's Turnpike. FHP said the driver lost control on a curve and drifted onto the shoulder. As the driver tried to get back on the road, his car crossed over into the southbound lane, where it was struck by a semi driven by Michael Campbell, 44, of Orlando. Both drivers were wearing seat belts, troopers said.
