Missing dog thrown from car in crash found safe in Palm Coast, reunited with family
PALM COAST — A Palm Coast resident found a pit bull that went missing Friday night after it was thrown from its owner’s vehicle following a crash on Interstate 95 in Palm Coast. According to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office, a woman named Jill Scott found Ice, the nearly 2-year-old pooch, in the parking lot of Winn-Dixie late Saturday night and waited with the dog until the owners came to pick her up. She hopped right into the owners' car upon seeing the vehicle, which she recognized. She had been missing for more than 24 hours.

UPDATE: 11:10 p.m. May 21: Missing dog Ice is home safe. A woman named Jill Scott, owner Jaywana Walker said, found Ice near the Winn-Dixie parking lot late the night of May 21. The 2-year-old pit bull had been missing ever since she was thrown from Walker's car during a crash at the Interstate-95 Palm Coast Parkway ramp the evening of May 20.
