Stacey Parkensen, 40, struck and seriously injured by hit-and-run driver on Sydney Road in Dover, Florida

A Hillsborough county woman is in serious condition after being struck by a vehicle in a hit and run traffic crash at 14603 Sydney Road in Dover Friday morning. 40-year-old Stacey Parkensen was found lying next to the road and transported to a local hospital. The vehicle involved had left the scene of the accident according to Hillsborough County detectives. HCSO located a front grill that is believed to be part of the suspect's vehicle that was knocked off at impact with Parkenson. Authorities say "Preliminary information" is that the grill came from a 1994-2002 Silver Dodge Crew Cab pickup truck with front end (missing grill) damage. The truck is believed to be silver or grey in color. Sydney Road remains closed between Cre Road and Sydney Dover Road while the investigation continues.
