Pedestrian killed in Tampa crash

It wasn't immediately clear what led to the crash, and police did not release the woman's identity.

The deceased was not in the crosswalk when she was hit. Investigators and crime scene technicians are talking to witnesses and collecting information from the scene. The investigation continues.

The driver stopped after hitting Campos, police said, and will not face criminal charges or a traffic citation.
Marina Campos, 56, of Tampa, was killed after being hit by a vehicle on 40th Street between East Conover Street and East Chelsea Street.
