Tampa 18-year-old on bicycle struck, killed by vehicle

A 18-year-old bicyclist was killed Wednesday night when he was hit by a pickup truck as he crossed West Waters Avenue, Tampa police said.

An 18-year-old man was killed Wednesday night while riding his bike, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.
Jose Antonio Baez Gutierrez was hit by a pickup truck Wednesday night. The truck was driven by Michael D. Pilnacek, who was going about 45 mph and didn't see Gutierrez. The young man died several hours later from injuries sustained in the accident.
