Woman hit by car in Town ‘N Country
Tampa, Florida – A woman was struck by a car and seriously injured this afternoon while crossing Hillsborough Avenue just west of Town ‘N Country Boulevard, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Troopers said she walked into the path of a Mazda driven by Louis Mattioli, 63, of Tampa. He was not charged.
All westbound lanes of Hillsborough Avenue have been closed to traffic for the duration of the accident investigation. Drivers should avoid the area if possible.
