A 47-year-old man is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle on Monday morning.
A 47-year-old man is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle on Monday morning.
According to authorities, the accident happened around 6:30 a.m. on the 4600 block of Glenwood Road.
DeKalb Police say a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle on the on-ramp to Interstate 285 at Glenwood Road while attempting to cross the road. The pedestrian was not in a crosswalk, at the time of the accident.
The man was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital.
According to the Department of Transportation, all eastbound lanes on Glenwood Road at I-285 were blocked for hours during the morning commute. The ramp to I-285 was blocked, as well.
No charges have been filed, at this time.
