Gonzalez was a student at Gainesville High School. Jarquin was a line worker at Cargil.

Two people were killed in a two-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon on Interstate 985. The accident occurred just before 2 p.m. on I-985 just past the I-85 split. Gonzalez and Jarquin were taken to Gwinnett Medical Center and pronounced dead. The victims were in the same car. The driver of the second vehicle was also injured and transported to the hospital with injuries.
