Adairsville woman charged with vehicular homicide in pastor's death, Julia Russell still in critical condition.

The Georgia State Patrol in Cartersville has charged Michele Blum, age 47, from Adairsville in connection with the fatal crash last night on Georgia Highway 140 near the Floyd County line.

Georgia State Patrol charged 47-year-old Michele Blum with first degree homicide in connection with a fatal crash that occurred near the Floyd county line Sunday night.

Blum was allegedly driving her 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck on the wrong side of the road with her lights off. Blum then struck and killed 55-year-old Nim Bernal Russell who was driving a 2007 Mercedes E350 in the opposite lane.

Blum has since been charged with first degree vehicular homicide, driving on the wrong side of the road and driving without headlights.

Julia Russell, Michele Blum and a passenger in her truck, Charles Louis Blum, III, were taken to Floyd Medical Center for treatment.

Blum is still hospitalized.
