Man killed after his car leaves the Arnold Mill Road, in Cherokee County, and crashes into a utility pole, ejecting him from his vehicle.

A man was killed Saturday morning after driving into a pole in Cherokee County.

According to Georgia State Patrol, the man went off the road while driving in a curve on Arnold Mill Road around 6:15 a.m.

Police say the man struck a utility pole and was ejected from his vehicle.

He was pronounced dead and the scene and was not wearing a seat belt, according to authorities.

Georgia State Patrol says blood was drawn from the man to determine if alcohol played a role in the crash.
