“The Jeep failed to maintain its lane of travel as it crossed the centerline, entering into the southbound lane,” state patrol wrote in an email. “The tractor-trailer attempted to brake and steer to avoid impact.”
State patrol said the Jeep struck the trailer portion in the southbound lane.
