Clifton said a preliminary investigation shows the crash occurred when the motorcycle tried to turn left onto Douglas Road and was struck by the oncoming vehicle. The motorcycle operator, Johns Creek resident David Kan, 49, was pronounced dead.

David Kan, 49, was northbound on Jones Bridge and attempting to turn left onto Douglas Road died when a southbound SUV crashed into his motorcycle, Johns Creek police Maj. John Clifton said.
