68-year-old Katie O. Palmer died in Sunday morning wreck at Milford Baptist Church in Marietta.
Authorities say Palmer was in a 1992 Mercury Sable that began “backing rapidly” through the parking lot and crashed into a concrete wall.
Witnesses told authorities Palmer was slumped over the wheel before the 10:50 a.m. wreck. Palmer was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The Cobb County Medical Examiner’s Office is working with police to determine how she died.
