A moment of silence Friday morning was dedicated to Jones and his family, he said.
Damon Lee Jones was driving an ATV near Dunwoody Road when he tried to enter a parking lot and struck a cable barrier. Jones died from his injuries, but his passenger, 17-year-old Timothy J. Wallin, was not injured.
