ID released of Ga. woman killed in 4-vehicle crash.
Authorities say a 52-year-old Kingsland woman was killed and her husband suffered critical injuries in a four-vehicle crash near the Georgia coast.
Renee Dowdy died Sunday when a pickup truck crashed into the back of her husband's car. A Georgia State Patrol Trooper says the impact was strong enough to push the car into two other vehicles waiting in a turning lane of the Golden Isles Parkway in Brunswick.
Dowdy's husband, 50-year-old Daryl Dowdy, was air-lifted to a hospital in Jacksonville, Fla., where he was listed in critical condition Sunday night.
The driver of the pickup truck, identified as 19-year-old Kyle Cashmir of Brunswick, was in stable condition at a southeast Georgia hospital.
The Georgia State Patrol is investigating. No charges have been filed.
