They say the driver of the vehicle in question was traveling southbound on Altama Avenue when it collided with the victim, Dejon Dawson, 20, of Brunswick.

Dawson, who police say was struck by a cab heading southbound on Altama, was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
Dejon Dawson, a 20-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed by a taxi cab early on Monday morning on Altama Avenue between R and Q streets in Brunswick, Georgia. He was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead on arrival. Police are still in search of the cab driver who fled the scene. More information will be added as it becomes available.
