Fatal West Bibb County Accident

A head on collision between a Suburban and Range Rover in west Bibb County yesterday morning leaves one man dead and four others injured.

A head on collision between a Suburban and Range Rover in west Bibb County yesterday morning leaves one man dead and four others injured.

It happened behind Middle Georgia State College around 3:30 a.m. on Columbus Road. Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones pronounced 32-year old Patrick Howard who was a passenger in the SUV dead on the scene. The driver 30-year-old Pricilla Smith along with two children in the back seat were taken to the Medical Center of Central Georgia. Jones says Smith is listed in critical condition and the nine year old Chris Smith and six year old Destiny Howard are listed in stable condition.

The Bibb County Sheriff's Office says 28-year-old Aaron Hendley was the driver of the Range Rover. He was also taken to the Medical Center and listed in stable condition.

The fatal accident is under investigation.
