Pastor James Miller said when he arrived at his church late Saturday night he was stunned to see an SUV in the side of the building.

But all of that can be rebuilt, and they plan to. Stewart is just relieved no one was inside when the car hit.

It was just before 12:00 a.m. when Dontavius Marquez King was driving his SUV away from a crash with a Lincoln Town Car, and he lost control and crashed his car into a church on Norris Street, where it overturned. Despite there being three children in the vehicle, ages 1, 3, and 5, King left the scene of the crash to seek treatment for his own injuries. The children were eventually found and taken to the hospital; the 3-year-old had critical injuries but is now in stable condition, and the two other children were not seriously hurt. King has been booked into jail and faces numerous charges, including driving under the influence; open malt liquor containers were found in the vehicle.
