Crash In Canyon County Claims One Life
A 2014 Ford F150 pickup, driven by a 64-year-old male, of Caldwell, Idaho, was travelling northbound on Friends Rd. A 2009 Volkswagen Jetta, driven by a 27-year-old male of Meridian, Idaho, was travelling westbound on Lower Pleasant Ridge Rd. The Volkswagen failed to yield at a stop sign and struck the Ford in the intersection of Friends Rd. and Lower Pleasant Ridge Rd. Both vehicles came to rest off the northwest corner of the intersection.

None of the people involved in the crash were wearing seatbelts. The driver of the Ford and a 65-year-old female passenger, also of Caldwell, were both ejected from the vehicle.
High school teacher, coach killed in crash near Greenleaf
However, Greenleaf Friends Academy on Friday announced the passing of Loma Bittick, the academy's high school math teacher and girls basketball and volleyball coach, and that the death was the result of "a serious automobile accident." The school also said her husband, Jim, is in the hospital in "stable condition."
